Calculate how much paint you need for your room based on wall dimensions, doors, and windows.
Enter your room dimensions — length, width, and height — along with the number of doors and windows.
The calculator computes the total wall area as 2 x Height x (Length + Width).
Door area (approx. 21 sq ft each) and window area (approx. 12 sq ft each) are subtracted to get the paintable area.
Paint required is calculated assuming standard coverage of 12-14 sq ft per liter for 2 coats.
The result shows total paint in liters needed to cover all walls with two coats.
Formula Used
Total Wall Area = 2 x Height x (Length + Width); Paintable Area = Total Wall Area - Door Area - Window Area; Paint (L) = Paintable Area / Coverage per Liter
Dark colors, textured surfaces, and porous walls may require additional paint. Always buy 10% extra to account for touch-ups and wastage.
